We are a group of gay men with an enthusiasm for transport, road, rail, water or air, historic and new.
This site contains details on the group's aims and activities, as well as membership information, how to contact us and information on our programme for the 2009/10 season.
The group is now in its 36th year with a solid core of about 90 members, and meetings are held monthly.
We try very hard to make the group welcoming and fun for new members, so if you would like to join and come along to a meeting to see if we're for you, please contact us.
the Group produces a monthly member's newsletter outlining forthcoming events and items of interest for the transport enthusiast.
Many of our members belong to other transport interest groups and share their vast amount of knowledge.
The Transport Group holds regular meetings, visits, tours and similar events connected with railways, buses, trams, trolley buses, aircraft, shipping and associated forms of transport.
In December our talk will be “Going Dutch in ’76” so be prepared for some canals, trains, trams and buses.
2010 brings us back to our infamous photographic competition.
